Exploration for all ages
If you wish to explore the bay or mangroves – kayaks, pontoon, and fishing boats are available nearby for rent. Boat taxi service to nearby islands, charter deep-sea fishing tours, para sailing, jet ski and bike rentals are also available. A short walk from our house is the historical Captiva district where you will find restaurants rich with island charm and fare, boutiques, galleries and a small but well-provisioned grocery store.

YOLO. Rent bikes, umbrellas, beach chairs, golf carts. They bring jet skis to the beach on a daily basis and weather-depending, they offer parasailing, sailing, paddle boarding and other fun stuff! Click here for more information.
There's a post office down the road for your convenience, open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2pm.
The Island Store (owned by Bailey’s of Sanibel) is open every day. You can pick up most anything you may have forgotten. A good selection of food including produce, dairy, snacks, wines and beer is available.
Jensen's Marina is an established business in the area, one of the "originals". Newly remodeled cottages are available for rent, as are boats, fishing gear, boat rides and fishing expeditions. They are located right across the street from Sunset Captiva.
